MindOn Project

The MindOn Project stems from my love for both photography and travel. It is a non-profit organization that I started in 2020 as a 14-year-old when Covid had just hit India. When I was not able to travel, this project brought travel to me! Having had the opportunity to visit some of the world’s most beautiful countries, I started an instagram page in June 2020 where I began to share some of my favourite pictures that I had taken over the past few years that documented the most beautiful experiences I had embarked on. As my interest in photography grew, I decided to use this skill set to make a change during lockdown.

The MindOn Project collaborated with the Karunashraya Foundation, an NGO based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, which works to achieve 100% conservation of sparrows, After visiting their office, we discussed potential solutions to raise awareness about ongoing issues which were holding them back from achieving their goals, it was decided that  I can take photographs to create awareness and raise the funds necessary for them to continue to do their work.

In 2020, I began selling calendars, bookmarks, and notebooks using my photographs in Bangalore. In 2021, we raised over $400 for the Karunashraya Project. I aspire to continue growing The MindOn Project, collaborating with NGOs, and making bigger community contributions in the future.
